Donkey Kong Bananza is a new adventure that sees you explore a massive underground world alongside Donkey Kong and Pauline. Using DK's brute strength and Pauline's vocal powers, you can smash through walls, smash through the ground, tear up terrain and use it to swing or throw yourself forward. The more you destroy, the more areas open up to explore.
Pauline is a 13-year-old girl with a powerful voice who can blast away boulders and grant DK new abilities. With the Bananza Transformation, DK can gain increased powers such as strength and speed, changing the way you navigate the world and defeat enemies.
The adventure takes you to diverse environments such as arid desert landscapes, lush forests and snow-covered tundras. In City Trial-inspired battles, you will face opponents in hectic arenas and participate in unexpected events such as meteor showers and boss fights. Each area offers new challenges and new characters to meet along the way.
Along the way, Donkey Kong and Pauline encounter several interesting characters, some of whom will help you along the way. Among them is Void Kong - the leader of the Void Company - who wants to reach the Planet's Core and take its power for himself. It's a race against time to stop him before the world falls into the wrong hands.
In co-op mode, one player controls Donkey Kong and the other controls Pauline. Pauline can ride on DK's shoulder, use her singing powers to smash obstacles, and even copy terrain to enhance her attacks. Together, you're an unbeatable team. The Joy-Con 2's mouse function also gives you new ways to aim and control the game.
For those who want a lighter experience, there is Assist Mode, with features such as automatic guidance, regenerating health, reduced damage and sight assist. Perfect for younger players or those who want to enjoy the game at a slower pace.
