Kirby Air Riders for Nintendo Switch 2
Classic speed meets new adventures
Kirby Air Riders is a brand new game that builds on the classic GameCube game Kirby Air Ride. Here you can once again experience the fast-paced racing with Kirby and his friends - but now in a modern version exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. The game is developed by HAL Laboratory and offers a mix of racing, action and chaotic battles in true Kirby spirit.
Charge, boost and fight
Kirby Air Riders isn't just about driving fast, it's also about using the right technique. Holding down the Boost Charge button will slow you down for better cornering, while also charging up your meter. Releasing the button will unleash an explosive boost that could decide the race. Drifting corners and clever use of special abilities are the keys to victory.
Choose your driver and machine
You can play as several well-known characters, including Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede and Magolor. Each driver has their own unique stats and special abilities, and when combined with various machines such as the Warp Star, Wheelie Bike and Chariot, you can create almost endless combinations. The machines handle differently, making the choice of both driver and vehicle crucial to your playstyle. Just like in previous Kirby games, you can also copy enemy abilities to gain an advantage.
City Trial - battles on a large scale
One of the most intense parts of the game is the City Trial. Here you float around the city of Skyah together with up to 16 players online or eight players locally. For five minutes you collect power-ups, find new machines and survive unpredictable events such as meteor showers and boss fights. Then a final competition awaits in the form of drag racing, arena battles or skydiving for points. No match is the same.
Air Ride – classic racing
If you prefer pure racing, you can throw yourself into Air Ride mode. Here you compete against five other drivers, both online and via local wireless. Collect stars by attacking your opponents or staying close behind them, and use the extra speed to cross the finish line first.
